What the neighbourhood is like
Sant Narcís began as a neighbourhood of low houses with patios around squares and quiet streets, and today it is one of Girona's most distinctive areas. The original houses, many renovated, sit alongside apartment blocks from later decades.
Santa Eugènia de Ter, once an independent village, is a large and diverse neighbourhood: 1960s to 1980s flats, local shops, a market and lots of street life. The part by the river Ter has green spaces and a cycle path into the centre.
Prices here still allow you to buy a three-bedroom flat for less than in the Eixample, which is why many young couples and families buy their first home here.
